Dear readers,
Thank you for visiting our A Too, Inc. website. As the 2024 Election Day (November 5) is less than 24 hours away, I want to make a last-minute push to encourage you, your family members and your friends to vote. If you do not mind, please forward this website address (www.atooinc.org) to people you know.
Six years ago, my brother Gabe and I established the non-profit organization A Too, Inc. (“Asians Vote, Too”) to encourage citizens, especially those of Asian descent, to vote. Gabe did an excellent job explaining why we should vote. Please listen to his speech below.
Recognizing how important it is to vote, although I am currently out of the country, I made a special arrangement to have a friend of mine who is visiting to bring me my absentee ballot. I am proud to say that I have voted and my ballot is on its way to the US through the Royal Mail.
I hope you will make an effort to vote, too. Every vote counts!
Blessings,
Michael

About
A Too, Inc. is a non-profit organization incorporated under the laws of the State of New York. Co-founders, Gabriel and Michael Chan, are two civic-minded teenagers aspired to promote voter turnout, especially among Asian Americans.
Researchers have repeatedly shown that family environment plays a crucial role in each child’s development. Asian parents tend to emphasize on academic potentials but seldom spend time discussing social issues with their children. As such, youth of Asian descent flock to career paths such as doctors, engineers, and computer programmers. However, only a handful of them study political science, and even a smaller percentage hold offices in the government. Predictably, voter turnout rates of Asian Americans are the lowest among different ethnic groups. To remedy this situation, Gabe and Michael co-founded A Too to inspire citizens of Asian descent to participate in the political process, by fostering awareness and interests in politics, especially among children and teenagers, through web-based educational resources and partnership with community-based organizations.
